Workforce Automation Labour Assessment (WALA)
Assess the impact of an automation initiative on the workforce, identifying skill gaps, workforce redundancies and requirements, risks, and operation modalities.
The Workforce Automation Labour Assessment (WALA) offers a standard approach to look at automation with a workforce lens.
In this phase, the assessment focuses on determining the scope of automation and its expected impact on direct and indirect work, including processes, technologies, delivery models, and the stakeholder audiences involved.
Based on the anticipated changes in Phase 1, the assessment looks at elements of work that would require transition, including job and role rationalization, reskilling, sourcing, and potential outplacement for impacted roles.
Phase 3 provides a summary of impacts and requirements to transition to effective operations, including risks, contingencies, organizational impacts, evaluation and monitoring, and change management considerations.
